Kansas Children's Foundation

In Promotional Management, MKT 607, our class teamed with Wesley Children’s Foundation. Each group was asked to construct a marketing plan for the foundation that was actually going through a rebrand to Kansas Children’s Foundation. Our goal was to increase donations by 15% and increase awareness of the foundation outside of the Wichita area. My group decided we would accomplish this goal by utilizing social media, specifically Facebook, and focus on the Hutchinson/ Salina area. My responsibilities included performing a SWOT analysis, researching and identifying the desired target market, assisting in the media planning and public relations strategies. I also created our group's slogan “Helping Kansas’ Children in Need”. I learned the importance of teamwork and time management. Each section of the marketing plan was due at certain points throughout the semester, so it was important to stay on task and focused to make sure we met deadlines. My group got along extremely well together and we were able to construct a quality plan for our client!
